South Arne, Amerada Hess[/b], - is located in the Danish sector of the North Sea, in block DK 5604/29. Amerada Hess became the operator of the 7/89 licence, containing the South Arne field, in late 1994.

Amerada Hess with its partners started development of the South Arne field in 1994.

The recoverable reserves are estimated to 10 million barrels of oil. Number of subsea wells are 7. The production year is

1996 with a daily production estimate of 50,000 barrels of oil & 70 million standard cubic feet of gas . The South Arne project is based on a

subsea solution with South ArneFixed Platform topside solution. The development cost is in the order of US$572 million with an estimated field life of years.
