baryon degenerate matter

[bluemoon24]

* 1.A form of degenerate matter in which electrons have been forced into the confines of the atomic nucleus by the weight of overlying material. Once inside the nucleus the electrons merge with the protons to form neutrons. . It is the neutrons, obeying Pauli's exclusion principle , which provide the degeneracy pressure to halt further collapse. See also electron degenerate matter , Oppenheimer-Volkoff limit
