* 1.A fatality or fatal crash as alcohol-related or alcohol involved if 1) Either a driver or a nonmotorist (usually a pedestrian) had a measurable or estimated blood alcohol concentration (BAC) of 0.01 grams per deciliter (g/dl) or above. Probabilities of alcohol involvement are now calculated for each driver, pedestrian, or crash. 2) Coded by police when evidence of alcohol is present.
