Ormen Lange, Shell[/b], - deepwater field located in the Norwegian Sea, approximately 140km west of Kristiansund. Estimates show that Ormen Lange is the second-largest gas discovery on the Norwegian Shelf.

Shell with its partners started development of the Ormen Lange field in 1997.

2006 with a daily production estimate of 50 mill Sm3/day. The Ormen Lange project is based on a

subsea solution with Ormen LangeSubsea Tieback topside solution. The development cost is in the order of with an estimated field life of years.
