Bonga, Shell[/b], - developed in 1993 as one of the first in Nigerias deepwater fields, Bonga is situated in Oil Prospecting License (OPL) 212, the 60 square kilometer field is located in 1000 meters waterdepths

























The Bonga field development by operator Shell is located OPL 212 in West of Africa offshore Nigeria

in water depths of 1,245 meters .





Shell with its partners started development of the Bonga field in 1996.

The recoverable reserves are estimated to 6,000 mmboe . Number of subsea wells are 16. The production year is

2005 with a daily production estimate of 225,000 bopd. The Bonga project is based on a

subsea solution with BongaFPSO topside solution. The development cost is in the order of 3600000000 with an estimated field life of years.
