Norne, StatoilHydro[/b], - Hydrocarbons in the Norne field are located in the Lower- to Middle-Jurassic sandstones, which are of a good reservoir quality. An oil zone 110m thick with an overlying gas cap make up the hydrocarbon column.

























The Norne field development by operator StatoilHydro is located 6608/10 and 6608/11 in North Sea offshore Norway

in water depths of 370-390m.





StatoilHydro with its partners started development of the Norne field in 1986.

The recoverable reserves are estimated to 510 million barrels of oil. Number of subsea wells are 14. The production year is

1994 with a daily production estimate of 220,000 barrels of oil per day . The Norne project is based on a

subsea solution with NorneFPSO topside solution. The development cost is in the order of with an estimated field life of years.
