Girassol, Total[/b], - the Girassol is located 150 km off the west coast of Angola in aproximately 1,400 m of water. The field was one of the first large deepwater projects in Africa.

























The Girassol field development by operator Total is located 17 in West of Africa offshore Angola

in water depths of 1350 m.





Total with its partners started development of the Girassol field in 1998.

The recoverable reserves are estimated to 700,000 mmboe. Number of subsea wells are 40. The production year is

2001 with a daily production estimate of 200,000 bopd. The Girassol project is based on a Cluster manifolds

subsea solution with GirassolFPSO topside solution. The development cost is in the order of $2,800,000,000 with an estimated field life of 25 years.
