Sertab ERENER Türkiye ye ilk kez Eurovision Şarkı Yarışması birinciliğini 167 puanla kazandırdı. 25 Mayıs 2003, Türkiye nin Eurovision Şarkı yarışmasında ilk kez birinci olduğu gün olarak tarihe geçti. Bir çok yabancı yayın organı "Victory of TURKEY" başlığı ile haberi duyurdu.
